LEARNING AND ACADEMIC SUPERVISION OF ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (PAI) DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Abstrak
The occurrence of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia affects all aspects of human life, including the educational aspect. Education policies aim at protecting teachers and students from the Covid-19 virus, anticipating the formation of new clusters in school environments, and efforts to break the chain of Covid-19 spread. Teachers, including Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers must conduct online learning, as well as the implementation of academic supervision by supervisors carried out online. This study aims to provide an overview of the implementation of PAI learning and academic supervision as a reference material for stakeholders in making policies. The research method uses library research (library research) by collecting data from writings (literacy) that are related to the topics discussed, namely Learning and Supervision of Islamic Religious Education during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The results of the study found that in general the teachers had tried to carry out online learning despite facing various obstacles. Likewise, academic supervision in general has been carried out by supervisors online with various obstacles as well. From there it is suggested to teachers of Islamic Religious Education to find learning strategies that can realize active and creative learning even during a pandemic period. Likewise, it is suggested to PAI supervisors that academic supervision during a pandemic can be more effective in order to do the following: (1) build commitment; (2) unifying perceptions; (3) using popular online applications; (4) responding to feedback from teachers; (5) follow-up on supervision findings.
Terjadinya pandemi Covid-19 di Indonesia mempengaruhi seluruh aspek kehidupan manusia, tak terkecuali aspek pendidikan. Kebijakan pendidikan mengarah pada upaya perlindungan terhadap guru dan siswa dari virus Covid-19, mengantisipasi terbentuknya klaster baru di lingkungan sekolah, dan upaya pemutusan rantai penyebaran Covid-19. Para guru, termasuk guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) harus melakukan pembelajaran secara daring, begitu pula pelaksanaan supervisi akademik oleh pengawas dilakukan secara daring. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberi gambaran umum pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan supervisi akademik PAI sebagai bahan rujukan bagi pemangku kepentingan dalam mengambil kebijakan. Metode Penelitian menggunakan studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan menghimpun data dari tulisan-tulisan (literasi) yang mempunyai kaitan dengan topik yang dibahas, yaitu Pembelajaran dan Supervisi Pendidikan Agama Islam di masa Pandemi Covid-19. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa secara umum guru-guru sudah berupaya melaksanakan pembelajaran secara daring walaupun menghadapi berbagai kendala. Begitu pula supervisi akademik secara umum sudah dilakukan oleh pengawas secara daring dengan berbagai kendala pula. Dari situlah disarankan kepada guru Pendidikan Agama Islam untuk menemukan strategi pembelajaran yang dapat mewujudkan pembelajaran yang aktif dan kreatif walaupun di masa pendemi. Begitu pula disarankan kepada pengawas PAI agar supervisi akademik di masa pandemi bisa lebih efektif agar melakukan hal-hal berikut: (1) membangun komitmen; (2) menyatukan persepsi; (3) menggunakan aplikasi daring yang populer; (4) memberi respon atas umpan balik dari guru; (5) tindak lanjut atas temuan supervisi.
