THE IMPLEMENTATION OF NUMBERED HEADS TOGETHER COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL TO IMPROVE THE ABILITY OF BASIC SCHOOL STUDENTS (Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Numbered Heads Together untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Kerjasama Siswa Sekolah Dasar)

Abstrak
This research is motivated by the ability to cooperate with students who are considered less than optimal in class V in SD Mathla'ul Khoeriyah District of Bandung Wetan, Bandung, where students during group learning each group member is less contributing in doing group work. The purpose of this study is to improve the ability student cooperation by applying the NHT (Numbered Head Together) type of cooperative learning model. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) by adapting research models from Kemmis and Taggart. This research was conducted in three cycles. The subjects of the study were 33 grade V students. The results of the first cycle showed the ability to work together reached 64%. This achievement increased at the time of the implementation of the second cycle which was 77% and at the time of the implementation of the third cycle the achievement increased to 91%. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of the NHT type of cooperative learning model in class V is proven to be able to improve the ability of students to work together. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kemampuan kerja sama siswa yang dinilai kurang optimal di kelas V di SD Mathla’ul Khoeriyah Kecamatan Bandung Wetan Kota Bandung, di mana siswa pada saat belajar kelompok setiap anggota kelompoknya kurang berkontribusi dalam mengerjakan tugas kelompok.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kerja sama siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT (Numbered Head Together). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan mengadaptasi model penelitian dari Kemmis dan Taggart. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Subjek dari penelitian adalah siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 33 siswa. Hasil dari siklus I menunjukkan kemampuan kerja sama mencapai 64%. Capaian tersebut meningkat pada saat pelaksanaan siklus II yaitu sebesar 77% dan pada saat pelaksanaan siklus III pencapaian meningkat mencapai 91%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT pada kelas V terbukti dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kerja sama pada diri siswa.
