COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL APPLICATION TYPE GAMES TEAMS TOURNAMENT (TGT) TO IMPROVE STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES IN LEARNING THE IPS MATERIAL EVENTS AROUND THE PROCLAMATION

Abstrak
Problems in this class action research is how the planning, execution, and student learning outcomes in social studies using cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) in class VIII A of SMP Negeri 1 Talbot Tasikmalaya regency by the number of students as many as 35 people, consisting of 19 male students and 16 female students. The results showed that the students' learning achievement is very good. This is evident from the results of test scores, whether of the discussion, as well as the final test conducted by researchers of the research subjects. Tests conducted at the end of meeting the learning in the first cycle and the second cycle. The average value of a written test students on the first cycle of 75.61. In the next cycle, the average value of the written test of 84.63. From these results it can be seen from cycle to cycle increases. This means that the use of this learning process is able to spur the students to be more active and very effective.
