PENERAPAN METODE SQ3R UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA

Abstrak
This research is motivated by the lack of students' ability in comprehend the text in the intensive reading course in the subject of Bahasa Indonesia.This research focused on the efforts of increasing students' reading comprehension ability through the application of SQ3R method. The research method used in this research is Class Measure Research which adapt from Kemmis and Mc Taggart's models. The subject of the research is 43 students in SDN Bukanagara at fourth grade. Data collection is done through the test and field record. Based on the analysis towards the observation result, students' activity showing a positive increasing toward reading learning. Students' reading comprehension ability increasing and meet the class average in the first cycle at 65,9 with the percentage of clasical completeness 75%, the average score in the second cycle is 70, 64 with the percentage of clasical completeness 83,72% and the average score in the third cycle is 80,91 with the percentage of clasical completeness 97,30%. In conclusion, the application of SQ3R method could improve learning activity and students' reading comprehension. It is hope that SQ3R method will always applied in Bahasa Indonesia subject or other subjects.
