PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN BERBICARA BAHASA MELAYU PELAJAR THAILAND SELATAN DENGAN METODE ROLE PLAYING DALAM PROGRAM INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE SUMMER CAMP

Abstrak
Abstract: Increasing The Malay Language Speaking Ability of Southern Thailand Students using Role Playing in International Language Summer Camp Program. The research was conducted to determine the relationship between role playing method and Malay speaking ability in the International Language Summer Camp Program. Based on the results of the implementation first cycle of the second meeting of the data showed that the activity of students and teachers as well as students' skills in speaking Malay is classified in the category of medium and has not yet reached the desired indicator. The average values were as follows, for male students the pronunciation were 58.25, speech fluency were 56,35, and word meaning were 57.30; and for female students the pronunciation were 59.11, speech fluency were 58,44, and word meaning were 56.00. The results of the action in the second cycle have a very good improvement. The average of speaking ability in the second cycle were as follows: for male students to the pronunciation were 73.49, fluency were 72.06, and word meaning 79.52; and for female students the pronunciation were 74.00, fluency 73.11, and word meaning 77.11.

Abstrak: Peningkatan Kemampuan Berbicara Bahasa Melayu Pelajar Thailand Selatan dengan Metode Role Playing dalam Program International Language Summer Camp. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan metode role playing dengan kemampuan berbicara dalam bahasa Melayu dalam program International Language Summer Camp. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan siklus satu pertemuan kedua diperoleh data bahwa aktivitas siswa dan guru serta kemampuan siswa dalam membicara bahasa Melayu adalah tergolong dalam kategori sedang dan belum mencapai indikador yang diinginkan. Nilai rata-ratanya seperti berikut, untuk pelajar lelaki untuk lafal kata adalah 58.25, kelancaran ucapan 56.35, dan makna kata 57.30. dan untuk pelajar perempuan dengan nilai lafal kata adalah 59.11, kelancaran ucapan 58.44, dan makna kata 56.00. Hasil tindakan siklus dua ternyata mendapat peningkatan yang sangat baik. Nilai rata-rata kemampuan berbicara pada siklus dua untuk pelajar lelaki untuk lafal kata adalah 73.49, kelancaran ucapan 72.06, dan makna kata 79.52. dan untuk pelajar perempuan dengan nilai lafal kata adalah 74.00, kelancaran ucapan 73.11, dan makna kata 77.11.
