INCLUSIVE PEDAGOGY FOR DIVERSE STUDENTS IN REGULAR CLASSROOM SETTINGS

Abstrak
Inclusive pedagogy is philosophically fostering the humanistic educational service that is moved as the changing attitude and awareness towards education for all. The educational service is addressed, in particular, to children with special needs in regular schools. Practically, inclusive education is envisioned to the promotion of academic and social adjustments. Inclusive pedagogy, therefore, requires that a regular school is created to be a inclusive environment for children with special needs. Inclusive education is denoted to the legal foundations of Basic Constitution and Government Regulation on the equality of human right to education. These two foundations mandate the creation of a school environment that is friendly to learning and interaction. Hence, children with special needs can learn and live in the more cohesive school society. The implementation, therefore, inclusive schools provide adjustment in terms of curriculum, instructional strategy, assisted media, individual scaffolding, facilitation, and evaluation regarding the values of potential and respects to the diversity.
