Abstrak This study aimed to describe whether the data increase the self-confidence of students who get learning by applying the model of Problem-Based Learning by Heuristic method (PBLmH) better than the students who had learning by applying the model of Direct Instruction (DI). The method used is quasi-experiments pre- and posttest. Subject of the study (sample) is class V students in one of the elementary school in Ciasem. Data research on self-confidence using attitude scale. Statistical data analysis using non-parametric U-test, Mann Whitne. Results from this study are: the increase in self-confidence of students who received PBLmH model of learning by applying the same with students who are apply the DI model.
