Abstrak This study focused on identifying the error of understanding in mathematics in primary schools. The process of error identification is done through multimedia learning comprehension in the form of digital comics. The subjects were students and aspirant teachers in Bandung. From this study we concluded that most respondents are still experiencing errors understanding mathematical concepts. One of the main factors causing errors that understanding is the mindset that makes the end result of learning is the main goal of learning mathematics in elementary school. Lack of material excavation and the students potential causes saturation on students who also result in students' mathematical communication process errors that will make the student experience misunderstanding. Potential errors in understanding the concept of matter can be packed into a story idea.
