Abstrak
Language is communication tool. As the national language, Indonesian is the national emblem, the symbol of national identity, and unified the various people of different socio-cultural backgrounds, as well as the interface between cultures and between regions. Indonesian and local languages are used interchangeably and make Indonesian into a bilingual society, one of which is the Javanese. Nowadays, Indonesian and local languages occurred social and cultural actively. Indonesian and local languages soul has been met. Two related languages began to pay attention, ultimately influence each other and so many words in the local language goes into Indonesian. The result of successful learning will be better by using language companion. In other words the use of local languages as the Indonesian languages’s counterpart in learning activities is more effective than not using languages companion.
