This paper aims to describe the importance of the revitalization of tripusat theory of education of Ki Hadjar Dewantara in order to build the nation's character. Based on the study of literature, it can be understood that various changes in the efforts of national education has not produced the maximum results as expected. We are still facing a multidimensional crisis, especially the crisis of the national character. This problem arises principally because of an error in concept and practice of education itself. Education is reduced to a mere teaching. Along with that also, the phenomenon suggests that the provision of education in various educational institutions still not integrated. Therefore, to overcome this problem, the revitalization of Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s tripusat theory of education is necessary. This work can be done by way of, among others, through: socialization of theory, research or pilot project of application and adaptation of theory to get the model of implementation, education and training for the dissemination of theories and models, as well as applications in schools.
