Abstrak
ABSTRACT
This study was discussed about the political map of the “Partai Persatuan Pembangunan” (PPP), when the General Election was held 1999 in West Java. The Researcher used historical methods include heuristic, criticism, interpretation, and historiography, and also used the interviewing techniques toward some informants. The main problem of the study is "How the ways of PPP in the political efforts to won the vote in the general election 1999 in west java”. The strategy that PPP did to carried out the party were doing some approach to the leader of the society, consolidate the party, and also did the developmental network or made a networking link by gathering all Islamic institutions, especially the boarding schools which are located in the West Java. The political map of PPP was showed that the party was succesfull to get the most votes and being the third position by got 14 seats in DPRD West Java, as the main vote base was in Tasikmalaya. When the general election done in 1999, there were several impact that happened on the development of PPP in West Java, such as the increasing of the number on the daily management of the PPP in West Java, and beside that the party work programs became more diverse. The Researcher recommend for next research to examine the participation of the PPP in the elections of 2014 in order to enrich the knowledge in this study.
