Abstrak
On the basis of observations of teaching and learning activities, students lack the motivation to learn particular subjects IPS Education is known of the acquisition value UPI Kampus Tasikmalaya students who score an average of only B, with the level of activity of students in the learning process on those subjects only 10- 13 out of 40 students, or only about 30% of students are active. This study was conducted to determine how the Learning Cooperative learning model can improve motivation to learn in the course. The method used a class act. The object of research is the regular students the second student of 2015/2016, which numbered 40 people. The data source of this research is the result of field observations and the results of student activity observation faculty and students in the learning model Cooperative Learning. The study is divided into three cycles, the first two cycles are environmental observation activity around the object of research. While the last cycle for the consolidation of the research results achieved in the previous two cycles. Each cycle has a stage of implementation of activities consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results showed that the application of the model increased the motivation of student learning in social studies learning in particular subjects Education IPS with satisfactory results. Masing-masing siklus mempunyai tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model berhasil meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran IPS khususnya matakuliah Pendidikan IPS dengan hasil yang memuaskan.
