Abstrak
This research aims to increase students' mathematics achievement through the application of type Group to Group Exchange (GGE) active learning methods at class X IPS1 MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru even semester of academic year 2008/2009 on the subject matter line and the line numbers. The subjects studied were students of class X IPS 1 MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru with the number of 33 people comprising students from 11 male students and 22 female students. Students in the class are heterogeneous in terms of academic and gender. Instruments in this research is the learning tool of the syllabus, RPP (Plan of Implementation of Learning), LKS (Student Worksheets) and LTS (Student Task Sheet.) Data collection techniques use the testing techniques through the mathematics achievement test and observation techniques use the observation sheet activities of teachers and students. Analysis of the data used is descriptive statistical analysis that describes the activities of teachers and students, analysis of learning outcomes and successful measurement. From the analysis of data obtained that the application of active learning methods type GGE can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics achievement KKM on daily first tests is 60.6% and the daily second tests increased to 75.8%.
