AbstrakKata kunci : Analyzing skill, matter controversial issue, and learning history.
This research aims to develop student skill analyzing in learning history. Based on the observation by the researcher, there is a problem in learning process. Because so far only meant students learning history as a subject that is rote without train students to think of analysis. Criticize about matter history issue is not familiar for student toward fact or opinion. Using controversial issue in this research, the researcher aims to develop student skill analyzing in learning history. This research is realized at 22 February – 16 Mei 2016 in XI MIA 4 SMA Negeri 14 Bandung class. The research applies (PTK) using Kemmis Taggart model. Based on the research, it shows that student skill analysis increases in every step implementation. The aspects which are researched from skill analysis consist of six indicators, comparing the opinion differences from resources. Then, arrange the time sequence in every event in matter controversial issue. Next, use acceptable resources. Distinguish between fact and opinion in event of history. Criticize the issues which are correlated with controversial issue. From explain above, the result is using matter controversial issue can increase student skill in analyzing history event. Showing the process of transition of student skill analyzing, the research distinct that there is a change toward positive category. This final result can be a recommendation for teacher and school to develop student skill analysis in learning history.
