PEMBELAJARAN APRESIASI SASTRA CERITA TERPADU MODEL CONNECTED UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERBAHASA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstrak: The problems of Indonesian language learning in Elementary School, especially in fifth grade students of SDN 1 Dadaha in Tasikmalaya is the quality of language learning which is not balanced with literature learning, and also the literature learning is less used to increase students’ language ability. This matter needs to be solved immediately to fulfill the demands of curriculum. One of the efforts in improving and completing the learning implementation is doing classroom action research through the learning of literature appreciation of integrated story using connected model to increase students’ language ability. The results of this study was obtained in forms of planning and implementing the learning of literature appreciation of integrated story using connected model that was considered as an effective learning to increase students’ language ability, and also developing students’ language ability in identifying the elements of story from their listening ability, concluding the story contents from their reading ability, writing the dialogues of two or three characters in a story, and playing the characters as their speaking ability. Nevertheless, students’ language ability has not been done maximally yet, especially for abilities in concluding the story, writing the dialogues, and playing the characters in a story. It is caused because there are main supporting and obstructing factors related to the aspects of teacher, students, and learning facilities.

Abstrak: Permasalahan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di Sekolah Dasar, khususnya di kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Dadaha Kota Tasikmalaya adalah bobot pembelajaran bahasa kurang berimbang dengan pembelajaran sastra, serta pembelajaran sastra kurang digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa siswa. Hal ini, perlu segera diatasi untuk memenuhi tuntutan kurikulum yang berlaku. Salah satu upaya perbaikan dan penyempurnaan pelaksanaan pembelajaran adalah dilakukan penelitian tindakan di kelas bersangkutan melalui pembelajaran apresiasi sastra cerita terpadu model connected untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa siswa. Hasil penelitian diperoleh data dalam bentuk perencanaan dan proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran apresiasi sastra cerita terpadu model connected yang dipandang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa siswa, serta perkembangan kemampuan berbahasa siswa pada aspek mengidentifikasi unsur cerita hasil mendengarkan, kemampuan menyimpulkan isi cerita hasil membaca, kemampuan menulis dialog dua atau tiga tokoh cerita, serta kemampuan berbicara memerankan tokoh cerita. Walaupun demikian, kemampuan berbahasa siswa belum maksimal, terutama kemampuan menyimpulkan isi cerita hasil membaca, kemampuan cara menulis dialog tokoh cerita, dan kemampuan berbicara memerankan tokoh cerita. Hal ini ada faktor utama pendukung dan penghambat menyangkut aspek guru, siswa, dan fasilitas pembelajaran.
