Abstrak
Problems that occur in class VIII D SMP N 2 Puspahiang students' attention/ interest in mathematics is still lacking. Seen at the time of learning, there were still many students who talked, did not pay attention to the teacher's explanation, did not ask many questions or answer questions or questions given by the teacher. Similarly, the learning outcomes are still lower than other classes. Many learning models can be used to change learning to be active, creative, effective and fun, one of them is the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Cooperative Learning Model. The purpose of this study was to determine how the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type of cooperative learning model could improve the learning outcomes of class VIII A students at SMP N 2 Puspahiang. This study uses the class action research method (PTK) by carrying out 2 (two) cycles of action, which in each cycle are carried out through the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection is done by means of tests, questionnaires and observations. Based on the results of the research and discussion it was concluded that the implementation of the mathematics learning process on material relations and functions using the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type of cooperative learning model proved to be increased as evidenced by increased activity of students from the first cycle of 61% in the second cycle to 86% or increase by 25%. The use of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type of cooperative learning model is proven to be able to improve student learning outcomes in material relations and functions, as evidenced by the improvement in student learning outcomes based on the average score of 58% in the first cycle and 69% or in the second cycle increased by 11% from cycle I. And student learning outcomes based on achievement of KKM 40% in the first cycle and in the second cycle became 72% or increased 32% from the first cycle. Masalah yang terjadi di kelas VIII D SMP N 2 Puspahiang perhatian/minat peserta didik terhadap pelajaran matematika masih kurang. Terlihat pada saat pembelajaran peserta didik masih banyak yang ngobrol, tidak memperhatikan penjelasan guru, tidak banyak bertanya atau menjawab pertanyaan atau soal yang diberikan oleh guru. Begitu pula dengan hasil belajarnya masih lebih rendah dibanding kelas lain. Banyak model pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan untuk merubah pembelajaran menjadi aktif, kreatif, efektif dan menyenangkan salah satunya Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VIII A SMP N 2 Puspahiang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan melakukan 2 (dua) siklus tindakan, yang pada setiap siklus dilakukan melalui tahapan-tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara tes, angket dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan disimpulkan bahwa Implementasi proses pembelajaran matematika pada materi relasi dan fungsi dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) terbukti meningkat hal ini dibuktikan dengan peningkatan aktifitas peserta didik dari siklus I 61% pada siklus ke II menjadi 86% atau meingkat 25%. Penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) terbukti dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam materi relasi dan fungsi, dibuktikan dengan peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik berdasarkan perolehan rata-rata skor 58% pada siklus I dan pada siklus II menjadi 69% atau meningkat 11% dari siklus I. Dan hasil belajar peserta didik berdasarkan ketercapaian KKM 40% pada siklus I dan pada siklus II menjadi 72% atau meningkat 32% siklusI.
