PENERAPAN METODE COOPERATIVE LEARNING TIPE STAD UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN SOSIAL SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAHDinan Afifah Firdaus

This research begins with a problem that occurs in XI IPS 3 SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung. Based on the observation that the social skill of the students in XI IPS 3 on the learning of history is still relatively low. To solve the problem, researcher use action research method by Kemmis & Taggart model. The main problem in this research is “How the application of Cooperative Learning method STAD type to enhance student`s social skill in the learning of history in XI IPS 3 SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung?”. So the problem is not widespread,researcher focusused into four questions, 1) How teacher plans learning of History by appliying cooperative learning method STAD type to enhance social skill of students in XI IPS 3 SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung?, 2) How is developing steps of the application cooperative learning method STAD type to enhance social skill of students in XI IPS 3 SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung? 3) How the result of student`s social skill enhancement role in the learning of History by applying cooperative larning method STAD type in XI IPS 3 SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung? 4) How the solution to face dificulity when applying cooperative learning method STAD type to enhance social skill of students in XI IPS 3 SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung? Based on the research for four cycles, can be obtained from the data that the application of cooperative learning method STAD type can increase student`s social skill in XI IPS 3 succesfully. But, at 2nd cycle to 3rd do not change at all. Researcher then change the member of the group, so that aspect of social skill increase. Salient aspect of social skill in every cycle is search, select, and process information skill. Students are able to filter out information relate to the material before using it in doing worksheet. Expected for the next researcher to constantly form new group in the STAD at about 2-3 SAD period in order to increase students`social skill well.
