PENERAPAN METODE DISKUSI UNTUK MENUMBUHKANKEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH

Abstrak
This research entitled “The Application of Discussion Method to Develop Student’s Critical Thinking Ability in History of Class XI IIS 4 SMA PGII 1 Bandung”. The main purpose in this research is to know the student’s critical thinking ability through the application of discussion method in history learning because of the student’s lack of critical thinking ability of class XI IIS 4. This is seen when students ask questions and those questions are not quite important and that are already written on the module they have. Also, if students ask other questions, they can get it from internet without criticizing the questions they have. The research method used is Classroom Action Research method using Kemmis and Mc. Taggart’s research design. Based on the research, the result shows that the discussion method can increase the student’s critical thinking ability in history learning of class XI IIS 4 SMA PGII 1 Bandung, this is seen in cycle 1 to cycle 4 where student’s critical thinking ability is increased.
