ABSTRACT
The reseach is done in XI IPS 1 SMA PGII 1 Bandung. The principal purpose of the reseach increase ability of critical thinking student in teaching history, because critical thinking in the class XI IPS 1 are low. The method of reseach uses reseach of action classroom with design reseach from Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The urgency of this research is “How to Improve students critical thinking ability Through The Power Of the Two Methods in the study of History in XI IPS 1 SMA PGII 1 Bandung?”. Acording to researching that have been done, its result to aplly of The Power of Two method can increase ability of critical thinking of student. So it is seen in every cycle there are inprovement and raising in ability critical thinking to answer the question or to express answering in front of their friend. Beside it, the result of the research can be suggestion or recommendation and judgement material for teacher or headmaster can be create teaching situasion for the student active in learning in the class, where the student can not answer that the answering has been in the printing book, but with the application The Power of Two method, the student can be given some question in every kinds like in the research, up to thinking ability of student increase and students usual or have ability to think for critical history event.
