TEKNIK POINT COUNTER POINT UNTUK MENUMBUHKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN SEJARAH

Abstrak
The research begins from observation in XI Bahasa SMA Negeri 1 Cianjur. Based on the observation, research found that he class has a good potential in developing the critical thinking ability. However, the critical thinking ability cant’be seen optimally yet. Therefore, to make student’s critical thinking ability, the researcher take the title of “The application of point counter point technique to make the student’s critical thinking ability in history ( action research in XI Bahasa SMA Negeri 1 Cianjur). The main problem is how to apply point counter point technique to make student’s critical thinking ability in XI Bahasa SMA Negeri 1 Cianjur. So that the problem not spread, researcher limit into some question: 1) how the condition class before the applying of point counter point technique in XI Bahasa SMA Negeri 1 Cianjur?, 2) How to plan learning of history through the application of point of counter point technique to make the student’s critical thinking ability in history in XI Bahasa SMA Negeri 1 Cianjur?, 3) How the implementation steps of learning of history through the application of point of point counter point technique to make the student’s critical thinking ability in history in XI Bahasa SMA Negeri 1 Cianjur?, 4) How can evaluation of learning of history obtained through the application of point counter point technique to make the student’s critical thinking ability in history XI Bahasa SMA Negeri 1 Cianjur?, 5) How obstacles encountered during the implementation of the application of point counter point technique to make the student’s critical thinking ability in history in XI Bahasa SMA Negeri 1 Cianjur?. Method used by researcher when research in action research class with Kemmis & Taggart model. Based on the results of research for cycles can be conclude that the application of the point counter point technique can be used as alternative solution to create learning condition can make student’s critical thinking ability. It is seen from the achievement of critical thinking ability indicators that appears when the application of point counter point technique, indicators conclude: a) focus on question, b) analyze argument, c) ask and answer question, d) to consider wheter the information source reliable ar not, e) make a judgement and determine the result, f) identify the term and consideration of a definition, g)interact with others.
