GROWTH DYNAMIC FUNGI ON BIOCONVERSION OF Palm Kernel Meal (PKM)

Abstrak
Bioconversion research on microbiology aspects presented, consist of global assessment dynamics, and growth fungi appeared during the fermentation process of Palm Kernel Meal. The aims was to point out the indigenous fungi presented on Palm Kernel Meal which potentially involved in the biodegradation of this organic by-product. Based on 7 days periods of fermentation processed, the genera of Aspergillus sp., Geotrichum sp., Penicillium sp. and Mucor sp. was founded during fermentation. The genus Mucor sp. had the highest frequency distribution and genus Geotrichum sp. had the highest quantity. The temperature and humidity increased, but pH decreaced
