Abstrak
Artikel ini berisi tentang cara merancang, menerapkan, dan mengevaluasi efektivitas model induktif dalam pembelajaran sintaksis. Tulisan ini mengambarkan proses dan hasil pelaksanaan model induktif dalam pembelajaran sintaksis serta persepsi mahasiswa dan dosen terhadap model tersebut. Desain eksperimen yang digunakan adalah desain kelompok kontrol prates-pascates beracak. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia STKIP Garut. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) model induktif berhasil memberi peluang yang lebih besar kepada mahasiswa untuk meningkatkan keterampilan memproses data dan konsep dasar sintaksis, (2) model induktif efektif dalam meningkatkan penguasaan sintaksis mahasiswa, baik penguasaan pengetahuan sintaksis maupun penguasaan tindak sintaksis, (3) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan searah antara penguasaan pengetahuan sintaksis dengan tindak sintaksis, (4) persepsi mahasiswa dan dosen tergolong baik dan positif.

Abstract:
This article is about how to design, to implement, and to evaluate the effectiveness of inductive models in syntax learning. This paper describes the process and results of the inductive model of syntax learning and perceptions of students and lecturers of the model. The experimental design used is the design of the control group of random pretest-post test. The subjects were students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education of STKIP Garut. The results of this study indicated that (1) the inductive model succeeded in giving a greater opportunities to students for improving the data processing skills and the basic concepts of syntax, (2) the effective of inductive model in improving students' mastery of syntax either a good mastery of syntactic knowledge or mastery of the follow syntax, (3) there is a significant and direct relationship between the mastery of syntactic knowledge with the follow syntax, (4) perceptions of students and lecturers are classified as good and positive.
