ABSTRAK
PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) adalah salah satu teknik pengontrolan yang sangat berkembang dengan pesat. Penggunaan PLC banyak digunakan di industri refrigerasi karena memiliki banyak kelebihan, yaitu dapat digabungkan dengan alat kontrol lainnya dengan mudah, menyederhanakan sistem kontrol dan mudah dalam pemrograman. PLC yang dirancang digunakan sebagai alat kontrol kelistrikanpadatiga buah kompresor atau multi rak yang digunakan pada cold storage.Kelemahan dari rancangbangun ini yaitu biaya instalasi awal sedikit lebih mahal dibandingkan dengan yang tidak mengguakan PLC dan hanya satu kompresor. Tujuan dari rancangbangun ini untuk memperoleh sistem kontrol pada cold storage yang lebih mudah dioperasikan, efisien, hemat listrik, murah biaya operasional dan sederhana. Penggunaan PLS dalam sistem kontrol akan membantu proses produksi tetap berjalan walaupun terdapat masalah pada salah satu kompresor pada cold storage.

ABSTRACT
PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) control technique is one that is growing by leaps and bounds. The purpose of PLC are widely used in refrigeration industry because it has many advantages, which can be combined with other control devices with ease, simplifying the control system and easy programming. PLCs are designed to be used as an electrical control device on three compressors or multi rack used in cold storage. The downside of this design is the initial installation cost a bit more expensive compared to those not using the PLC and only one compressor. The purpose of this design is to gain control of the cold storage system that is easier to operate, efficient, low-power, low operating costs and simple. The use of PLS in the control system will help to keep the production process running even though there is a problem with one compressor in cold storage.
